I'm Back! A Writing Story

I'd consider myself a good writer. It was something that I learned to like later on in my school career, but better late than never.

It started right when I started to enjoy English class in my junior and senior years of high school. Then during my process of finding what I wanted to do in college, I started to give writing more of a fair shot. I joined the school newspaper and eventually picked up a minor in professional communication.

I also got an internship with a digital marketing agency doing a lot of copywriting work. I was writing content for blogs, Facebook , Instagram, email blasts, and press releases. It was here that I knew that I wanted to incorporate writing into my professional career.

This hasn't really happened yet. My first job was a bust in this regard.

Now it's been about a year and a half since I left college and I haven't written anything worth reading in a long time. I thought about looking for some freelance writing work once I found out my first job wouldn't be providing many writing opportunities. However, I either found myself not wanting to do any more work once I got home or using the majority of my time after work looking for a new job. What this has left me is a writing portfolio that hasn't been updated since people still used AOL.

It's time for me to fix that. I'm back.

This blog will not have a set theme. I plan to treat this blog as an online journal where I can write about what's going through my mind and write about my life. However, I also want to write about movies, sports, video games, and anything else that has my attention. It's my land to write about me.

I doubt my blog will have much of an audience. However, if by chance anyone finds their way here, welcome.
